Voices Of The World
Connecting with children all over the world is kids play due to the various technologies now available. Chiledren no longer have to rely on finding about other cultures through reading books, watching documentaries, having a pen friend or taking a holiday in different locations in the world. Schools are now bringing the world into their classrooms through using the social media tools of web 2.0 where communication and collaboration are the key aspects.
Voices Of The World is a new venture that will bring together the voices of primary children from all over the world to create a radio show. Each month a topic will be set with each school creating a podcast that lasts no longer than five minutes. This will then be sent to Mrs Tonner at The Hitgh School of Dundee who will jigsaw all the audio files together to make one radio show.
This is an exciting project that will truely unite our children together as one voice. If you would like your primary class to be part of this new global adventure then please note your interest in the post below.

Hi again, Sharon
We (Hillside School - Class 3)would be very interested in being given an opportunity to participate. It would give a couple of our (often socially-excluded) pupils the opportunity to grasp a project which would clearly boost their self-esteem and communication skills; if they make the commitment.
The opportunity would come at the right point in my own learning curve ie a concrete example of a fully-functioning wiki.
Thanks David, I will provide you with more details next week once I know who we have. Who knows a little show prior to the summer holidays might be on the cards.

Hi Sharon. You seem to be very busy. I have seen that you have registered the project without me! Such as shame which would have been great to use in my etwinning workshop that I was going to use and invite you as well. If you need details send an email.
